RCCN; It's A Community Thing!

The Radio Carib Community Network(RCCN) Online

Radio Likkle I ‘The Voice of the Sun’ is an Internet Community Radio Station and Community Cyber in Little Corn Island, Nicaragua; bringing opportunity to Islanders in Mass Communications.

FOR THE RENOVATION OF RADIO LIKKLE I AND TO OBTAIN OUR BROADCASTING PERMISSION WE NEED YOUR HELP TO RAISE 500 DOLLARS BEFORE JUNE 2ND 2012.

The radio station has been on the air since December 2011, with programs which have been produced by local youth whom have shown interest in being on the air and participated in our training sessions.

Listen to our latest broadcast and archived video and audio broadcast!

One half of the radio station is also home to a computer which was donated by the Cultural Preservation Society in Bluefields Nic. This single computer has helped students and youth in the community learn more about the internet and researching on the internet in particular for various homework assignments.

Even though we have made a positive impact in our first 6 months of operation, the actual building is currently closed for renovations and seeking our broadcasting permission to take the radio station on to the FM dial here on the Atlantic Coast of Nicaragua.

Radio Likkle I still broadcast online almost daily, but has been closed to the general public and staff since May 1st. We hope to open back up in June, but while we are closed work is still getting done and we need your help.
