RCCN Action
April 2010 RCCN
The Radio Carib-RAAS Project(RC-RP) is bringing much more than a community radio station. It will also be helping bring educational tools and jobs to the residence of Little Corn Island, Nicaragua. The most important stage of this project is already taking place seen in the pictures next to this text;(the construction of the Little Corn Island community radio station) Right now the RCCN is doing everything it can to raise the $5000 needed to purchase and ship the radio equipment to Little Corn Island; while still funding the building of the radio studios, and allocating funds for the permits necessary for legal broadcast in Nicaragua.
We the RCCN are still just a small Network of a few hard working persons investing much towards the Radio Carib-RAAS Project (RC-RP). The RC-RP is a not-for profit project which is helping produce the RCCN’s first community radio station which will serve the people of the Corn Islands as an educational tool. Through community radio space the RC-RP plans to provide computer & internet/Wi-Fi access free to residence of Little Corn Island, and have a radio station which will provide jobs and professional training to the residence in this region. Please help empower the residence of this region through these many free educational opportunities by donating today.
